Sama
Sama is a light installation inspired by the philosophy of the Sama dance; a ritual that sees rotation as a path to balance, awareness, and connection between heaven and earth. The form of each module is inspired by the fluidity of the whirling dervishes’ robes, recreating the concepts of purity, honesty, and inner light with clear crystal. The installation reflects the symbolic movement of Sama; receiving light from the sky and transmitting it to the earth. Each installation is formed with approximately 300 to 500 crystal pieces and, while maintaining the original concept, can be changed and adapted to different spaces. Sama depicts light not only to illuminate a space, but also as a symbol of flow, liberation, and connection between humans, nature, and the world.
