Zagros is a contemporary candle inspired by the dramatic landscape of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. Its sculptural form translates the rhythm of mountain ridges and valleys into a functional object, where flowing lines represent the connection between earth and sky. Crafted from concrete and metal, the design combines a strong architectural presence with the warmth and movement of flame. In an effort to reduce environmental impact, recycled capsules are used as the fuel containers, giving discarded components a new purpose within the product. The refillable fuel system allows the candle to be reused, extending its lifespan and reducing waste. When lit, the flames emerge from the sculpted landscape like points of light between the mountains; when extinguished, Zagros remains a distinctive sculptural object. The design brings together cultural identity, natural geography, sustainability, and contemporary design in a single functional product.
