Stasys Museum is conceived as a luminous cultural landmark that brings a new nighttime identity to Panevėžys, Lithuania. At its base, integrated linear wall-washers graze the dotted and linear-patterned concrete façades, revealing their depth and texture while transforming the building into a subtle urban beacon. Concealed linear and spot luminaires shape secondary volumes and landscape elements, creating a coherent transition from city to museum. Indoors, industrial linear luminaires hidden above a suspended metal-mesh ceiling produce calm, uniform ambient light, while adjustable track spotlights precisely illuminate artworks without overpowering them. The layered composition supports both orientation and flexible exhibition use. High-efficiency, long-life LED luminaires minimise energy demand and unwanted spill light. Many fixtures were developed with Lithuanian manufacturers, reducing transport impact while supporting local expertise and production.
