Lighting Performance & Usage Context

An immersive light installation where hundreds of softly illuminated textile arms gently brush against visitors as they move through the space. The cool white lighting transforms touch into a visible, shared experience, creating an atmosphere of intimacy, calm and human connection in public space.

Project Description

Caressing Zone is an immersive light installation that transforms one of the most essential yet often overlooked forms of human communication: touch. Hundreds of suspended textile arms, softly illuminated with cool white light, create a dense landscape that visitors slowly cross, experiencing countless unexpected caresses. Rather than using light as decoration, the project employs it as an emotional material that reveals movement, texture and proximity. The installation invites people to rediscover physical contact in an increasingly digital world, creating a temporary refuge where vulnerability, empathy and shared presence become the central experience. Designed as a scalable site-specific artwork, Caressing Zone can be adapted to museums, festivals and public spaces while maintaining its intimate atmosphere. https://www.luzinterruptus.com/?p=25096
